Serves 10–12 (1 cup portions)
Stovetop
Brown 500g mince with 1 chopped onion in a large soup pot.
Add 8 cups water and the packet contents, followed by 1 tin of diced tomatoes. Cover and simmer for 2–3 hours. A cup or two of frozen corn kernels is a good addition here if you’ve got some in the freezer.
Season with salt and pepper, then serve topped with sour cream, tortilla chips and grated cheese.
Slow cooker
Brown the mince and onion first, then add everything else and cook on high for 8 hours.

Rathmines Butchery offers local delivery across the Lake Macquarie area. Minimum order for delivery is $100, with a $10 delivery fee. The fee applies only to the following areas:
Standard delivery days are Tuesday and Friday mornings, between 9:00am and 12:00pm. Please place your order online by 10:00pm the day before delivery, or phone the shop during trading hours. Payment can be made by cash or card on delivery.

Pickup is available from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Please allow a minimum of 2 hours notice between placing your order and collection.
