Serves 10–12 (1 cup portions)
Stovetop
Brown 500g beef mince or diced beef in a large soup pot with 1 chopped onion. Add a teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce if you like a bit more depth.
Tip in the packet contents along with 9 cups water, two 400g tins of diced tomatoes, 2 chopped carrots and 2 chopped celery sticks. Bring to the boil for 5 minutes, then cover and simmer for around 2 hours. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Slow cooker
Brown the mince and onion first, then add everything else and cook on high for 6–8 hours.

Rathmines Butchery offers local delivery across the Lake Macquarie area. Minimum order for delivery is $100, with a $10 delivery fee. The fee applies only to the following areas:
Standard delivery days are Tuesday and Friday mornings, between 9:00am and 12:00pm. Please place your order online by 10:00pm the day before delivery, or phone the shop during trading hours. Payment can be made by cash or card on delivery.

Rathmines Butchery offers click and collect for orders picked up in store.
Pickup is available from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Please allow a minimum of 2 hours notice between placing your order and collection.
